Make this easy and fun cowl from the 2012 special issue of Knitscene Accessories with Dawn.  In class you will learn Cat Bordhi’s innovative moebius cast on and a stretchy bind-off. You can also personalize your reversible infinity scarf with different yarn choices. The store sample has a bit of bling with a metallic sparkly yarn integrated into the simple lace pattern. A rich solid color yarn will show off the stitch definition. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

This fall we are offering several classes on knitting projects for the special little people in our lives.  Beginners are welcome in the baby blanket classes.  You’ll need to have the skills taught in our Knitting Basics class to join the baby sweater classes.

• The February Baby Sweater (first left): starts October 10
• Baby Surprise Jacket (second left): starts October 28
• Log Cabin Blanket (third left): on December 15
• Color Play Blanket (right): starts December 1

Two 3-hour classes; $35 + tax & supplies

This is a wonderfully easy and fun blanket to make.  First pick some favorite colors in a soft yarn: ours is Madelinetosh Chunky superwash merino. Then we’ll make the squares on the diagonal and sew them together with a simple invisible seam.  You can decide the size easily with squares or rectangles, ours is 2×2 for a small baby blanket – you could easily make a 3×3, 3×4, 4×4…

This class is open to beginning knitters and advanced beginners.

Happy Stitching Hour (this Friday, September 7, 5 – 7 pm) is a show and tell this month! Bring in a project you’re proud of that you’ve made in a yarn you’ve purchased from us to show and tell to the group.  I’m very excited to see the lovely things you all have made!
