Our slightly off-gauge sample also demonstrates the importance of gauge swatches: the sample for a adult size hat pattern fits a 3 year old perfectly for just being half a stitch per inch too tight!

Which Sweater for 2012?

This winter we are offering four fantastic sweater classes.  Each sweater can be customized to your size and style.  All four classes welcome beginning sweater knitters looking to make their first sweaters as well as more experienced knitters who want to learn new techniques and designs!  Which sweater will be yours in 2012?  Classes start in January.  Click on the photo for more details.  Call 277-1164 to sign up and come in well before class starts to pick out your yarn and colors!

Kinetik Mystery KAL with Laura Nelkin

Thinking about doing Laura Nelkin’s Kinetik Mystery KAL this winter?  Well you are in luck as Laura is hosting meetups at Knitting Etc in January and February as part of the project!   This is your chance to ask questions, get support, and take guesses at what you are making.  The KAL is written to be worked with LOTS, SOME or NO beads and 420 yards of fingering weight yarn.

Knitting Etc has great yarn and bead choices for the KAL… and the staff knows just what you need to join in the fun!  Sign up for the knit along, come in to pick out the supplies, and attend any or all of the meetups with Laura!  No advanced sign ups are required for the meetups.
