Try Weaving!  Schacht rigid heddle looms and cricket looms are coming to Knitting Etc. this fall.  Come for a sneak peek into weaving on a rigid heddle loom.  Susan will show you some basics of weaving so that you can get a feel of this new craft.

First snow has arrived Ithaca and we have the luxury fibers to keep you warm and in style!  Blue Sky Alpaca sent us some new colors of Brushed Suri.  This 67% baby suri alpaca, 22% merino, 11% bamboo blend feels incredible!  It can be knitted by itself to make a soft, light-weight, and warm fabric, or knitted along with other more substantial yarn.  After you come see this yarn displayed on our big knitting table, you might just decide to buy a skein or 2 as a new pet!

Knitters Warming the World – Charity knitting/crocheting projects with Jo Ellen

Jo Ellen will lead a charity knitting/crocheting group meeting from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings  for the month of November.  Make hats, scarves, and/or mittens for local families in need.  This group is for people who already know how to knit/crochet and are looking for some company and good ideas for charity projects.

Yarn purchase required, but you’ll be given store credit for the yarn when you turn in your finished project, in addition you’ll also get a coupon for 10% off  one entire purchase.
