Knit a Christmas stocking for next Christmas! Using a basic pattern that allows infinite variations and choices and knitting with Cascade 220‘s almost endless color choices, knit one or more stockings on circular needles. Deborah will help you with color stranding, making heels, adding Latvian braids or I-cord, knitting someone’s name upside down.

Join us for this social knitting time, meet some new people, re-connect with others, and just hang out. We’ll chat, knit, gossip, stitch, wind down after the long work week, and shop this month’s Happy Hour Sale! We will not be offering any knitting instructions or help, just a knitting visit…. The event is free. First come first serve. We have seats for approximately 15 people. Feel free to bring a snack or drinks to share!

We have two new cotton yarns from Tahki this spring:

Tahki Mia is a thick and thin yarn.  At 3 stitches per inch, it creates lightweight garments and accessories with lots of texture.

The 100% mercerized cotton gives Tahki Ripple a subtle sheen and dreamy drape, neither of which unfortunately shows up in the photo.  You’ll have to come see this special yarn in person!  It will make a very special summer top, skirt, or scarf.  We have all available colors of both Mia and Ripple in stock.  To get you started, browse the Urban Renewal pattern booklet with patterns featuring both of these yarns!

New from Filatura di Crosa this spring is Nirvana (100% superfine merino wool).  This lace weight extrafine merino wool is mercerized to give you a cashmere-like softness with the luster of silk!  It feels incredible and… can you believe this?… superwash!

While Nirvana is a great lace yarn by itself, we also have a sample lace swatch that’s knitted together with one strand of Nirvana and one strand of Superior (70% cashmere, 30% silk).  Nirvana is color coordinated with Superior to make luxurious lace fabric.  As matter of fact, there is a whole pattern book of possibilities of what you can do with this combination:
