This cardigan in Rowan Felted Tweed is perfect for this chilly start of the long weekend! Rowan Felted Tweed (50% merino wool, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose), a venerable DK/sport weight yarn, has a wonderful palette of classy colors and gives the finished sweater a very nice drape. The pattern is from Textured Stitches, a book of elegant designs by our friend Connie Chang Chinchio, who started designing patterns when she was a Cornell graduate student in Ithaca.

Plymouth BIG Event (5/11)

This Saturday, from noon til four-ish, We are celebrating the arrival of our new Plymouth yarns with a BIG Event! Kaelin Hearn, our new Plymouth rep, will be here to introduce the new yarns. In addition to “yarn tasting,” Kaelin will be discussing color theory, giving color advice, and presenting general pointers about finding the right yarn for a particular project. AND, here’s the best part: there will be door prizes!
