Welted Fingerless Gloves in Shibui Baby Alpaca

Welted Fingerless Gloves in Shibui Baby Alpaca

Mittens and fingerless gloves are perfect knitting for the approaching holiday season. They are quick to knit. The choice of yarn makes for a distinctive and unique gift – my personal favorite for teachers. Kiko has chosen two Churchmouse designs for this class - Colorwork Cuffs & Mittens and Welted Fingerless Glove. All students will learn to knit in the round on double pointed needles. Those selecting the Colorwork Cuffs & Mittens pattern will learn to follow a color chart.

Pair this class with Hickory’s early October workshop Knitting in (Small) Circles to practice the techniques covered!

Learn To Knit Socks 1024

Learn the essentials of sock construction and technique – cuffs, heels and toes – while working Hellen’s Sock, a clear and well written pattern from Fiber Trends. If you’re intimidated by teeny, tiny yarn and needles, this pattern gives you the option of working with DK/sport yarn!  This is a great follow-up class for recent graduates of our Knitting Basics: Felted Bag class.

You will need Hellen’s Sock pattern (Fiber Trends AC36), and the yarn and needles you choose to achieve gauge.

Sock Club (Ongoing)

$25 Annual Fee

Our Sock Club welcomes all sock knitters. A non-refundable $25 annual fee allows you to:

  • Join our monthly meeting from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on the second Friday of every month, and
  • Purchase any one 100g ball or two 50g balls of sock yarn (enough to make one adult pair) at 15% off during the monthly meeting.

Theresa George will host these monthly meetings. The Club welcomes all sock knitters who knit 1 pair a year or 1 pair a week (although we suspect that number will go up significantly with the discounted sock yarn you can buy every month). A sock yarn and pattern will be featured at each month’s meeting. We’ll exchange sock knitting tips and other great patterns members have come across, show off our beautiful socks, and we’ll sit and knit socks!
